Who we Are
We are a Nanny Referral and Placement Service, not an agency. Our service is entirely FREE to families looking for a qualified Nanny or caregiver at reasonable rates. We only recommend experienced Nannies who have passed an extensive in-person interview that includes checks of personal and business references and a national criminal background check.
Penny, founder, has resided in the Jacksonville areas over 40 years. She was a "stay at home" Mom for her three children, then worked seventeen years in CSX Railroad Management. Penny also owned and operated a retail and wholesale gift business. In September 1997 she started Rent-a-Nanny with three Nannies which has grown to over eighty Nannies represented by her service.
Donna, co-owner, is married with two grown children and lives in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. For twenty two years she worked in a managerial capacity for AT&T and Convergys. Donna is now giving her full attention to serving the families in the Mandarin, Orange Park, Southside/Baymeadows, Riverside, St. Johns County and Westside areas.
